Upcoming workshop/Nadolazeća radionica

Well, good morning people! I am making a quick post to announce my workshop I will have on Friday. We will be making some boxes and matching cards, and learning different ways one can make flowers. So, that is why I have made this little box, some flowers and my card. I decided to create flowers using Spellbinders Labels 24. The inspiration for the colors came from the CR84FN Challenge.

Istodobno ćemo učiti nekoliko raznih načina kako možemo napraviti razno cvijeće. Svoju današnju kutiju i kartu ukrasila sam cvijećem napravljenim uz pomoć Spellbinders nožića (Labels 24). A great Sunday

Hello! I had a great Sunday! We went to church (my hubby gave such a good sermon), hosted a Bible study later in our house and now we have guests. Actually, my hubby has some guests – a couple of guys gathered around the table doing some guy stuff. 🙂 And I, well, I have some time for making cards that people ordered, for some projects I have to finish and maybe some cards for submission calls. In between I am designing some new stamp sets. As you can see, I am never board. 🙂

The card I made is and is not so simple. It looks somehow simple, but I did a lot of things to it. First I embossed the base of the card, cut the blue piece (using Spellbinders Labels 23) and stamped it with Waltzingmouse Stamp (Dainty Dollies 2, my favorite WM set) and Versa Mark. Then I cut a grey piece of “Aunt Betty” paper, did some sewing, added come lace, ribbon, cotton cord and a button.

A Simple Birthday Card/Jednostavna rođendanska karta

Today I have made a simple card using my papers (Aunt Betty), The Craft’s Meow Lovely Labels 14 (the first set I made for them) and my sentiment stamp in Croatian (it says Happy Birthday). These Labels stamps are compatible with Spellbinders Labels 14.

Using the “Oh Deer” set I have made a simple and cute card. I stamped and colored the Deer and stamped, colored and cut out the butterflies.

[Koristeći “Oh Deer” set napravila sam ovu jednostavnu i slatku kartu. Otisnula sam štambilj srne te ju obojala. Leptiriće sam izrezala nakon što sam ih obojala.]

In the “Summer Fun” set I liked this big sentiment so much that I just decided to create a card with an english sentiment (something I do not do so often). An important information about this set is that it is a June Gift with all $50 purchases.

The Craft’s Meow June Release – day three

Hello there! It is the third day of The Craft’s Meow new release week.

Today we have cards for you which we created with the “Lovely Labels 14” set. Those are one of my favorite Spellbinders Labels. I love them and love to use stamps for them. Each day the design team, the illustrators and June guest designers: Larissa Heskett & Gayatri Murali created so many beautiful projects, and same goes for today.

[Lijepi pozdrav! Treći je dan predstavljanja novih TCM štambilja. Danas smo radili karte sa “Lovely Labels 14” setom. Taj set odgovara Spellbindersovim nožićima i to je jedan od mojih najomiljenijih oblika. Svaki su dan djevojke iz dizajnerske ekipe, ilustratori i dvije gošće, Larissa Heskett i Gayatri Murali, napravile lijepe karte. Isto vrijedi i za danas.]

I will not tell you much about the set since it is mine. Somehow it is too embarrassing for me to tell you how cute this set is. 🙂 But, what I can tell you is that all my profit of the selling goes towards a non-profit organization called “The Traveler”. [Lijepi pozdrav! Drugi je dan od kako prikazujemo nove Craft’s Meow štambilje. Nadam se da ste jučer uživali, te da ćete uživati i u drugom setu kojeg imamo za vas. Točnije, danas predstavljamo dva divna seta, a nekoliko dama (dizajnerska ekipa, ilustratori i dvije gošće: Larissa Heskett i Gayatri Murali) će i danas pokazati što su s njima napravile.]

Today we are all using “Stitched Flowers” and “Stitched Sentiments” sets. The flowers are cute and great for coloring or for paper piecing. And, since I do not use English sentiments so often, I decided to create my patterned paper with the “Stitched Sentiments” set.

[Danas svi koristimo “Stitched Flowers” i “Stitched Sentiments”. Cvjetići su slatki i super za nekoliko tehnika kao što je bojanje i tzv. ‘paper piecing’ tehnika. Budući da ne koristim tako često engleske sentimente, odlučila sam od ovih sentimenata napraviti uzorak na papiru.]

Hello everyone! Today I have a special post. I have a great honor to be a part of The Craft’s Meow new release week.

[Lijepi pozdrav! Danas imam poseban post. Velika mi je čast biti dio The Craft’s Meow tjedna povodom objave novih štambilja.]

The Craft’s Meow has some new stamps for you and a group of dear ladies (the design team, the illustrators and June guest designers: Larissa Heskett & Gayatri Murali) will show you what they made with them. Today we are all using “God’s Blessings” set. It is a very nice and practical set. I used the cross and the swirl to create a simple masculine set of cards. Often I use Croatian sentiments on my cards, and that was the case here too. This strange writing in the middle of my ovals are Bible verses in Croatian.

[The Craft’s Meow ima neke nove štambilje i njihova ekipa će vam (design team, ilustratori i dvije gošće: Larissa Hesket i Gayatri Murali) pokazati što su sve s njima napravile. Danas smo svi koristili set pod imenom “God’s Blessings”. To je jedan lijep i praktičan set. Za svoje karte sam koristila križ i ukras. Cute animals and shabby technique/Slatke životinje i shabby tehnika

Today I have two cards to share. The first one is made for a little girl that I heard is in a hospital. I made this bright card with Jane’s Doodles cute animal stamps.

[Danas imam dvije karte. Prvu sam napravila za jednu djevojčicu za koju sam čula da je u bolnici. Napravila sam joj vedru kartu s ovim slatkim životinjicama koristeći Jane’s Doodles set štambilja.]

On my next card I applied shabby chic technique on a brown peace of paper. Recently I made my very first shabby chic chest (read more about it here) and now I wanted to make a matching card. For the inspiration I used two challenges: The Shabby Tea Room and Card Patterns.

[Na svojoj drugoj karti primijenila sam shabby šik tehniku na smeđem komadu papira. Nedavno sam po prvi puta napravila kutijicu u tom stilu (o tome više možete čitati ovdje) i sada sam htjela napraviti odgovarajuću kartu. Kao inspiracija poslužila su mi dva izazova: The Shabby Tea Room i Card Patterns.]

A Magazine to give/Časopis kao poklon

Today I got a package, and although I did not plan to make a post for today, the content of the package made me happy and I decided to share some more goodies with you. In the package was an issue of the Cards Magazine (May 2012) where one of my cards was published. I have one copy of this Magazine to give and the card that they published. So, just leave me a comment here and on Sunday (June 17), I will draw a winner. Since the postage for other countries is really high, the giveaway is open only for Croatia and neighboring countries (thanks to all my fellow bloggers around the world who understand this issue).
